Cattanach to drive Eldorado-backed Westcar Late Model

Melo Motorsports driver Kyle Cattanach of Redding, CA has been signed to drive the 777 Eldorado Hotel Casino Chevrolet in Saturday’s Altamont 100 for the Eldorado Westcar Tour of Champions.

Cattanach, who won the Westcar Series event at Shasta Raceway Park on July 14^th, will also carry backing from Dan Gamel RV.

Cattanach will chase the $2000 first place prize in the event with $13,000 in prize money posted.

The 777 Chevrolet is a car the Melo Motorsports team is familiar with, as it is the team’s former Southwest Series car from 2006.

Saturday night’s Westcar event is part of a double header at the half-mile Altamont Motorsports Park in Tracy, CA. SRL Wild West Shootout late models are also on tap for a 100 lap feature.

Melo Motorsports and Kyle Cattanach compete in the NASCAR Grand National West Series in a Toyota Camry. Their next stop is September 15^th at Altamont Motorsports Park for the Altamont 200 for the NASCAR Grand National West.

Cattanach and Melo also plan on competing in the prestigious NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown.

Melo Motorsports also sponsors legends driver Mackena Bell of Reno, NV. Bell will make her Late Model debut with the team at Altamont on August 25^th.
