Kyle Cattanach
To Pilot Spraker Racing Entry In
NASCAR Camping
World East Opener At Greenville-Pickens
Mooresville, NC - April 9, 2007
Team owner, and veteran NASCAR
competitor, Jeff Spraker has announced that California
“young gun” Kyle Cattanach will be
behind the wheel of the #37 Spraker Racing Monte Carlo for the
season-opening NASCAR Camping World East Series event at
Greenville-Pickens Speedway on April 19th.
Kyle brings an impressive set of
credentials to the East Series, having posted a 4th place
finish at Altamont Motorsports Park, in one of his three West
Series appearances in 2007. The talented 23 year old has
accumulated 22 wins in 77 career starts in both Late Model and ASA
Truck Series events on the west coast. States Kyle: “I am looking
forward to the opportunity, to take this next step in my career- I
was very comfortable in the car during our test session , and know
that I will have proven equipment from the Spraker team.” Supporting
the West Coast driver in his inaugural NASCAR Camping World East
Series race will be sponsors Dan Gamel RV Centers and
Pepperjack Kennels.
The Spraker NASCAR East Series team
posted a top-ten finish at the historic Greenville-Pickens facility
in 2007 and is hoping to capitalize on their past experience at this
track. Comments owner, Jeff Spraker: “Kyle has a strong short-track
background and this place should be a perfect match for that
experience. We hope to work with Kyle at other East Series events in
2008 - having run this entire schedule last year, we feel that
Spraker Racing can offer a genuine opportunity for Kyle to showcase
his talent here on the east coast”
Spraker Racing Enterprises, Inc.,
based in Mooresville, NC, is a full-service racing operation and
currently fields teams in the ARCA RE/MAX Series, and the NASCAR
Whelan All-American Series, in addition to the NASCAR Camping World
East Series. Kyle will join Spraker team drivers Dexter
Bean, 21, of Westby, WI, and Alex Kennedy, of Aztec, New Mexico.
Dexter, who was third in ARCA Series points in 2007, is running the
full ARCA schedule in 2008 in the GLOCK, Inc. sponsored Chevrolets
out of the Spraker stable; and 16 year-old Alex, joins the team for
2008 and runs selected events in the NASCAR Whelan All-American
Series at Caraway Speedway. Jeff Spraker has been an owner, driver,
and consultant for over 25 years, having incorporated his initial
operation in upstate New York, in 1979. He has established a strong
reputation in the development of young driving talent, utilizing a
driver’s perspective for coaching coupled with years of “hands on”
technical experience. |
